   Your Trainer Says:

  "Build Confidence"

Building confidence leads to a stronger relationship with your horse. This starts long before you go to an event, out on the trail, or to a show.

Practice, practice, prepare, and did I say PRACTICE?  Working with your horse regularly, builds your horse's confidence in you, and your surroundings. Do NOT wait until just before your event, and then try and cram. Set your goals, work daily, practice, and prepare.  Each day, this will build confidence in yourself and your horse. This is an important part to the foundation of your success!

    Your Trainer Says:

  "Do Your Homework"

This goes hand in hand with "Building Confidence".  Doing your homework, is not only working with your horse daily, and doing your "work at home", but doing so in effective and purposeful ways.

If you are working with a trainer, take notes, and video when possible. This will greatly improve your work in between lessons.

Every time you handle your horse, you are training, even when leading from the barn.

So, make EACH moment count!  Do your homework and you will succeed in your goals with your horse.

BE effective - BE purposeful!

  - Go be amazing!

   Your Trainer Says:

      "Flexibility

             &

      Body Control"

There are different ways that a horse professional may say this - framing your horse, softness, gaining control of your horse's feet, etc. What these all refer to is your ability to place your horse's feet, shoulders, hips, rib-cage, head and neck, where you need them.

In achieving flexibility and body control, you help create a willing partnership; adding a key component to the foundation of your success with your horse!

  - Go be amazing!
